artist bio

madame harlequin, inspired by the commedia del arte character

(the arlequin or alrecchino), is an entertainer, artist, and cuddling witch.

with her visual art as a gateway to the dream dimensions,

she saunters along the fine lines of multiple realities.

she infuses play, humor, love and spirituality

into highly detailed, analog / hand-cut collages.

her work seeks to dissolve boundaries and

present micro to macro exploration beyond

indoctrinated social standards like

beauty, religion and politics ~ while cultivating spaces for

vulnerability and emotional exploration.

she arranges and rearranges image placement until it satisfies her

lust for an aggregate of layered and intertwining vignettes.

she uses surrealist elements

to explore the human psyche,

especially how the mind navigates

the intimacy between unconditional love,

metaphysical vision, manifestation, sexuality and romance.

perpetually inspired by her delicate sensitivity

and the vast balance of the joshua tree hi-desert,

madame explores and implements unusual harmony

like rage and peace, luxury and poverty, and pain and pleasure.

rooted in the hi-desert and blooming with over

three decades of training and creative devotion, madame harlequin invites

guests, fans and audiences into connection through

music, movement, sacred touch, mystical play, truth and beauty.
